As with any trip, there are few things you should know before booking your Wyoming hunting trip with Miller Outfitting.
Meals You will not be hungry! When you come to Miller Outfitting, the only thing you need to think about is hunting and having a great time. We provide home cooked meals served buffet style for our hunters. A typical day would include pancakes for breakfast, a packed lunch in a cooler to take with you in the blind (e.g. sandwiches, chips), and a family style dinner when you get back to the lodge.
Weather The weather here can be a challenge at the time of year when you would be hunting in Wyoming. During the day, it could get really hot; and later when the sun goes down it is very cold. It is not uncommon to have extremely varying temperatures in the course of a day. You may want to check the weather forecast in advance and pack accordingly.
Accommodations Our updated lodge includes cable television with a DVD and VCR, a full-size refrigerator and wireless internet. Transportation The closest airport to Miller Outfitting is the Gillette airport. When arranged in advance, we offer complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off.
Tipping Every year we get asked about tipping. Tipping is entirely voluntary. As a guideline, however, we generally suggest $50 - $100 for the guides, and $20 - $50 for the cooks.
Processing Miller Outfitting provides facilities for you to process your antelope. Alternatively, you can take it to a local locker plant for processing and shipping. If you land the monster antelope of your dreams and would like to mount it, we highly recommend Dustin Cargal with Trophy Taxidermist, (307) 682-0864.
Other Hunting Information:
- An archery tag and conservation stamp is required for all archery hunts.
- Miller Outfitting also offers deer and turkey hunting on a limited basis depending on populations and availability. The deer blinds used are similar to the ones used for antelope, but are located in different areas.
- For more information on state regulations, we encourage you to visit the Wyoming Fish and Game website at http://gf.state.wy.us/index.asp.
